Carp-In-4-Cancer 2010 saw 60 anglers descend on Brasenose 2, Linear Fisheries Oxford.
On a sunny and very warm day in June the stage was set for the best carp
fishing charity event to take place again and anglers from all over the country(and even Wales )
were well and truly up for the challenge.
All teams were ready to fish for 40 hours day and night, some really were competitive while
some took a more laid back approach, but all wanted to win.
40 odd hours passed with many a merry hour with guys visiting each other
and generally having a good old banter. The good spirt of this event is expectional.
At the end of the time Team Air Force, Paul Whalley & Dave Crouch, took the top position with
just over 100lbs, bagging themselves a nice fishing trip to for 2 to France.
The T Birds were hot on their heels in 2nd with Team Plus One in 3rd.
Amazingly, Team Top Ding placed yet again with a 4th, thats a 2nd, 3rd and 4th, one day they might win.
Lewis Cardice won the Big Fish prize with a 20lb 4oz, this netted Lewis a fishing trip to France.
After the competition we had the raffle and auction to which the response was amazing.
This year saw a massive £5600+ raised for the charities.
This is a testament to the generosity of the anglers digging deep into their pockets.
Also a huge Thank You to all of the sponsors who donated prizes for the event, without them it would not be possible.
The C4C 2010 event was a huge success and the best year yet.
